About HASTE Ai
We built CoEngen because mining depends on it.
HASTE Ai is a Canadian enterprise AI company building Vertical AI for the Mining Industry. We focus on one hard problem: giving the mining industry the interpretive capacity it needs to keep up with the critical-minerals era.
Mining's productivity constraint is interpretive capacity, not data.
Mining has been digitizing its data for two decades. LIMS platforms, pilot-plant systems, vendor networks, and project document stacks now produce more structured test work data than at any point in the industry's history. Senior interpretive capacity has not kept pace, and given the demographic shape of the workforce, will not.
Canada alone will need up to 256,000 new mining workers by 2034, with a realistic hiring shortfall of up to 133,000.¹ Nearly all of that hiring need is replacement. The industry is losing roughly 186,000 workers over the decade to retirement and industry exit.¹ 72% of mining employers expect retention to get worse over the next five years. 50% expect hiring itself to get harder.²
The math doesn't add up. The only sustainable path is to extend the reach of every senior geologist, metallurgist, product expert, and engineer already in the industry, which is exactly what HASTE Ai was founded to do.
One product. One problem. One industry.
Many AI companies are trying to do everything for everyone. HASTE Ai does one thing: CoEngen, the enterprise SaaS intelligence layer that turns raw mining data into narrative-grade geological and process interpretations and NI 43-101 / ISO 17025 compliant reports. It is built for lab and testing services, engineering and EPCM firms, Mining OEMs, and mining operations, and it is priced, positioned, and supported to serve enterprise-grade clients in those four categories.
The base model is ready for any custom application; we tailor it to your specific systems, processes, and desired outputs.
We do not sell dashboards. We do not replace your LIMS. We do not train general models on your data. We extend the reach of the senior people you already have, and we give the institutional output of that extension (the reports, the comparisons, the compliant disclosures, the proposals) back to you as finished draft material for your experts to review and sign off.
20+ years of AI and software development experience. $700M+ and 30 years in prior mining and EPCM contract execution.
HASTE Ai was founded by a team whose prior work spans more than $700 million and 30 years in mining and EPCM contract execution and more than 20 years of AI and software development experience. That's the stack of credentials behind every line of CoEngen's product design, every client engagement we take on, and every commercial decision we make.
The full leadership team will be introduced on this site after our current funding round closes. In the meantime, if you're evaluating HASTE Ai as a buyer, partner, or investor and need to know who's behind it, the answer to that question (and a founder-level conversation) is a request form away.
Headquartered in Kelowna, BC. Operating in Vancouver and Toronto.
HASTE Ai Corp is Canadian-owned and incorporated. Our core team operates across three Canadian hubs (Kelowna, Vancouver, Toronto) chosen for their respective strengths in technology, deep mining expertise, and enterprise commercial reach. We serve clients across North America, with strong relevance to Australia's critical-minerals sector.
Relationships we work in, not just logos on a page.
Simon Fraser University. Ongoing academic partnership focused on mining-specific AI research and the validation methodology that underpins CoEngen's context-aware interpretation.
CoEngen is built on context-aware Agentic AI trained on real mineral test work data, not retrofitted from a general-purpose model. The product's compliance posture (NI 43-101, ISO 17025, PIPEDA-aligned data governance, full traceability with human in the loop) is foundational to the product, not a layer added later.
2026 is when this product had to exist.
Three forces converged to make 2026 the right year for CoEngen to launch.
The critical-minerals imperative has pushed feasibility-study pipelines to record sizes across North America and Australia.
The labour supply for the senior personnel in industry (geologists, engineers, product experts) who have historically produced those studies and supplied the equipment is shrinking, structurally, under demographic pressure the industry cannot hire its way through.
And Agentic AI has matured to the point where mining-native, context-aware interpretation is reliable enough to carry regulated-grade output, with a human expert in the loop on every deliverable.
Foundational large language models have commoditized general intelligence. The 2026 inflection point in Vertical AI is enterprise demand for deeply embedded, mining-tailored systems that deliver measurable, hard ROI. CoEngen is that system for mining.
